TinEye - A great site for the art lover

During one of my shifts at the College Library, Ian showed me a new website called TinEye, an image search system. Basically, you upload a picture or copy a picture's URL, and TinEye finds other copies of that picture on the web including cropped or edited pictures. This is a great find for art historians who are picky about the color or clarity of a picture being accurate as there are so many variations in what is posted on the web. Just go to www.tineye.com to try it out. Again, this is free just like Jing. Here's a video of me finding an image of one of my favorite artists, Otto Dix, and then using TinEye to find copies and crops of the picture: http://screencast.com/t/Rmy5kxkF
